CYBERNETICA Terms of Service
Effective date: November 7, 2026
Operator: CYBERNETICA ("we", "us")
Contact: admin@cybernetica.cc
1. Agreement
By using any service under cybernetica.cc (the "Services"), you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and the notices in Section 5. If you don't agree, don't use the Services. We may add, change, or retire services at any time.
2. Accounts and content
Keep your credentials safe since we treat activity from your account as yours. Matrix, Wafrn, IRC, and the password manager use a single sign-on account (Pocket ID). Use one account per person, and don't sell or transfer access.
You own what you post. You give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, transmit, and display it as needed to run, secure, and moderate the Services, including delivering it to other users, federated servers, and bridged spaces. You confirm that you have the right to post it and that it doesn't break the law or these Terms.
Matrix, the Fediverse, and Bluesky are open networks: public content is copied to servers we don't control, and we can't make their operators delete it or stop anyone from scraping it.
3. Rules
These apply across all Services.
- Be eligible. Minimum age is 16 in the EU, EEA, and UK, and 13 elsewhere. If you're under 18, avoid adult-content spaces.
- Be respectful. No harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing, or targeted abuse.
- Be harmless. No malware, scams, defamation, sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, or anything else illegal under US law.
- Be cautious. Put sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise intense media behind a content warning.
- Be ethical. Don't post or promote animal cruelty. Discussions about animal-based food or clothing are acceptable.
- Be creative. Don't post AI-generated images, video, audio, deepfakes, or text.
- Be mindful. No spam, scraping, or ban evasion, and don't attack, scan, or overload our infrastructure.
- Be fair. Don't cheat, grief, or exploit bugs on game servers.
4. Moderation, appeals, and reports
We may remove content and warn, limit, suspend, or permanently ban accounts that break these Terms or put the Services, other users, or us at risk. Bans can apply across all Services, and we may block IP addresses or devices to enforce them. Access isn't a legal right, and in urgent cases we may act without notice. To appeal, email admin@cybernetica.cc within 14 days with your username and why you think we got it wrong. Our decision after review is final.
Email abuse or illegal-content reports to admin@cybernetica.cc with links or IDs. We report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as federal law requires.
Intimate images shared without consent. To ask us to remove an intimate image or video of you (including a deepfake) posted on our social or chat services without your consent, email admin@cybernetica.cc with your name and contact information, your signature (typing your full name is fine), a link or description that lets us find it, and a statement that you believe in good faith it was shared without consent. You don't need an account, and you can send the request for someone you're authorized to represent. We'll remove it within 48 hours, make reasonable efforts to remove known identical copies, and where the protocol allows ask other servers to remove theirs.
5. Service notes
- IRC (Ergo). Channel messages are visible to everyone in the channel, and IRC isn't end-to-end encrypted, so don't share passwords or sensitive information.
- Discord. Discord hosts our server, and its terms and privacy policy govern your use of it and the data it holds.
- Bridged spaces (Lightning). The CYBERNETICA hub spaces on Matrix, Discord, and IRC are bridged by a bot we host, so messages, usernames, avatars, and attachments posted in one are copied to the others. Edits and deletions may not carry across, and we can't remove copies held by other platforms.
- Game servers. Each game's own terms, usage guidelines, and privacy policy also apply. Our servers are unofficial and aren't approved by or associated with any game's developer or publisher, and we, not the publisher, are responsible for them and the data they collect.
- Password manager (Vaultwarden). You sign in through Pocket ID but still need your master password to unlock your vault. We can't read or recover your vault, so keep your master password safe.
- Search (SearXNG) and DNS (AdGuard Home). Courtesy utilities that forward requests to third parties whose policies apply. They aren't guaranteed to be private or uninterrupted, and DNS filter lists aren't a security tool.
6. Copyright
We respond to copyright notices under the DMCA (17 U.S.C. ยง 512). Email a notice to admin@cybernetica.cc with your signature, the work you say is infringed, where the allegedly infringing material is, your contact information, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and you're authorized to act for the rights holder. To contest a removal, send a counter-notice with your contact details, what was removed, a statement under penalty of perjury that it was removed by mistake, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the US federal court for your district (or, outside the US, any district where we can be found). We may restore the content unless the rights holder files a court action within the time the law allows. We terminate repeat infringers.
7. Warranties and liability
The Services are free, run by one person as a hobby, and provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We don't guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that your data will be recoverable, so keep your own backups. We aren't responsible for systems we don't operate (such as federated servers, Discord, game account services, search engines, and DNS providers) or for other users' content.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or revenue.
8. Indemnification
If you break these Terms or the law and a third party brings a claim against us because of it, you agree to reimburse our reasonable losses and legal costs to the extent your content or violation caused them. This doesn't apply to claims arising from our own wrongful acts, and if you're under 18 it applies only as far as the law allows.
9. Governing law
Maryland law and US federal law govern these Terms. Disputes we can't resolve informally will be brought in the state or federal courts in Maryland, and you and we consent to those courts' jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, email admin@cybernetica.cc and give us 30 days to resolve it.
10. Ending, changes, and general terms
You can stop using the Services or delete your account at any time. We can suspend or end your access as described in Section 4, or stop providing a Service. Sections 2, 6, 7, 8, and 9 survive termination.
We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version with its date and announce material changes at least 14 days before they take effect, unless a change is needed right away for legal or security reasons. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept it. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the notices in Section 5 are the whole agreement between us. Nothing in these Terms removes rights you have under mandatory law where you live. If part of them is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect, and not enforcing a rule right away doesn't waive it. You can't transfer your account or rights, but we can transfer ours.
